Alkisti City Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus

Het Alkisti is gevestigd in een charmant 19de-eeuws gebouw, op slechts 100 meter van het centrum van Larnaca. Het heeft een intieme, ommuurde tuin. De kamers hebben allemaal gratis WiFi, en sommige hebben een balkon met uitzicht op de historische Sint-Lazaruskerk. Alle kamers zijn comfortabel ingericht met een satelliet-tv, een klamboe en airconditioning. Er is tevens een minibar en een waterkoker voor drankjes op de kamer. Ook zijn er gratis toiletartikelen en een haardroger aanwezig. De ramen zijn voorzien van karakteristieke, blauwe Cypriotische luiken. U kunt genieten van een Griekse koffie op het mooie terras in de tuin. Het personeel van het hotel helpt u graag bij het regelen van een huurauto of een fiets. Er worden ook rondleidingen aangeboden. De accommodatie biedt ook een was- en strijkservice. Op de binnenplaats wordt een Cypriotisch ontbijt en diner opgediend. Als alternatief zijn er tal van tavernes en cafés aan de boulevard van Larnaca, op slechts 100 meter afstand. Het Alkisti City Hotel ligt op slechts 100 meter van het strand van Finikoudes, met blauwe vlag, en recht tegenover de Sint-Lazaruskerk. Er is een bus die de luchthaven, op 5 km verderop, verbindt met het busstation van Finikoudes. De bushalte ligt op slechts 10 minuten loopafstand van het hotel. Het zoutmeer van Larnaca ligt op 2,3 km afstand. Er is gratis parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel.

I stayed 6 nights at Hotel alkisti, the staff, specially the Manager Marinos and his assistant Olivia, were so friendly and helpful, I came without a previous plan, so Olivia assisted me in choosing 3 different trips around the island, and Marinos managed himself to book a taxi for me from the hotel to Hala Sultan Mosque and then to the airport, the hotel was in a very nice location, beside to the Lazarus Historical Church, and 3 minutes walking time from the Finikuodes Beach, and 7 minutes fro.

I had some problems with my bank that declined the pre-authorisation of the payment for the accommodation. Despite the fact that it was the middle of the season and only a couple of days prior to our trip they were very kind and understanding to give me time to sort it out. Other places would have just given the room away to anybody else. (And it's a popular place, very close to the sea so I'm sure that there was quite a high demand for a room like ours). The hotel recently was renoveted. Rooms are very wall arranged. There is a fridge, ketle , penn and air condition. Easy and tide bathroom. Hotel location is excellent 2minutes from the promenade and the agio lazarou church in front of the balcony. There is free parking in the middle of the city. There only 8 rooms in the hotel. The Hotel is in excellent position between the market and the walking street at thebeach so you can couch both the hotle is nice quite ,the staff are friendly and cooperative , the room is well equiped , i felt satisiy for all thinks including the value of money i did pay for my stay I recommed this Hotel for any tourist. I hate to say it, but the cost. It was just E45 for a double room of very good quality. Following my booking, I received a very quick email mail which was followed up by a telephone call explaining how to get there, where the key could be found etc. Very friendly and efficient. Very beautiful place and really to feel at home.Very kind and helpful people.Nice location,near to the beach and to center and specially near to the beautiful St. Lazzaro church.I advise this hotel to everybody. Small - only 8 rooms above a management office but clean and with a beautiful view of the Lazarus church in the square. The Taverna next door on the roof also does excellent food. Located just 5 minutes walk to the water front and right beside the St Lazaros church. Breakfast is actually served in the cafe across the road, which has a very good choice. This is my second time there and I repeat that the location and the old style building are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful and make you really feel at home. The bad is nerrow. Badding and curtains colors are funny. Nothing comes to mind. nothing. Not enough hot water (just lukewarm). This was in spring so still cool weather.!. You have to like your hotels non-invasive. Picked up the key myself on arrival and saw 'reception' only once. They clean daily but there is no breakfast (cafe across the road is lovely) and its really more like renting an apartment type experience. The room was a little small, and the fridge quite noisy. I repeat again, I would definitely love to see a simple breakfast in the back garden instead of the one offered in the cafe' across the street. Thank you.
