The family who own and run the hotel, particularly Mrs Katerina couldn't do any more for us. She even cleaned our car on the morning we were leaving as there had been a dusty storm during the night.
The village, high in the hills is picturesque and a convenient centre for exploring the mountains of Troodos and Cedar valley.
There are numerous tavernas but Mrs katerina cooked us a wonderful "Kleftico" meal with soup, salad, vegetables and a dessert, all homemade and very tasty!
We had a room on. todo comentarios
This hotel offers true Cypriot hospitality (I am Cypriot) which is very rare to experience these days. It is a family-run hotel in Pedhoulas, a picturesque village in the Troodos mountains. The owners (couple), Mrs Katerina and Mr Louis, are extremely friendly and kind, and are always willing to do their best in order to make you feel like home. The hotel is very clean and at the time we visited very quiet during the night. Visitors should try the home-made Cypriot sweets that Mrs Katerina coo.
I wanted to experience the "real" Cyprus. This hotel is in a great location and Katerina is the loveliest host you will find. She is so sweet and also cooks all the meals herself which are amazing! I had a room facing the street which overlooked the Church at night, which was just beautiful! The rooms are basic but clean. There is a lot that can be seen by foot, however I had a car which opened up a lot of possibilities as there is so much to see. This is Cyprus at its best.
The hotel is family run and they are extremely friendly and helpful. Katerina is a marvellous host and a good cook. Her moussaka is fantastic. Her husband makes a great cherry liquor which is complementary after the evening meal. Their son Michael is an excellent waiter come lots of things and he too is very helpful. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly. Thank you from Chlorakas.
I found the attention to the use of the mountain view was an example to the area. This inventive renovation and redevelopment of a previous poorly run and run down facility is customer focused. With such cosy unexposed balconies to the rooms and a large dining make best use of the views. Great value and a credit to pedhoulas.
We were impressed by the hospitality of the owner who welcomed us with homemade limonade. The view we had from our room was fantastic. Make sure you're hungry when you decide to have lunch or diner, the lady of the house cookes with all her hart and the portions are enormous. Don't stay here when you're on a diet.
The locaion and the family running the hotel were great! We shall certainly go back. The home made preserved fruit was also fantastic and we bought a great quantity. The room fitted with a jacuzzi had spectacular views and an a/c which cannot always be taken for granted in mountain villages.
We hadn't experienced such level of hospitality before. That was amazing! The room was clean, the food was amazing even though there were only 4 guests in the hotel. There was fire in the evenings and lots of home-made sweets. We were given lots of snacks and fruits for free.
A real family run hotel. We were the only tourists as we visited over a public holiday weekend. Lots of Cypriots who sang and danced the night away. Home cooked meals every night and all traditional cyprus fare. More than you can possibly eat. A unique and special experience.
The hotel is scrupulously clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the village location is quiet and serene. Rooms are somewhat spartan but clean and comfortable. The hotel is an excellent base from which to explore the Troodos mountains.
I stayed at the hotel during early September. It was very quiet as there weren't many people around so lacked some atmosphere at times. However it was very relaxing!.
Nothing to not like!!.
There was nothing we disliked. However there should be somewhere other than the dining room for people to sit in the shade. preferably the lovely veranda on the first floor and an airconditioned space on the ground floor . Both are available and as I understand from the owners it is in the immediate plans to funish the rooms/ space accordingly to provide for this.
Nothing.
