  We were there at the end of the season. The horel was great, nice and kind people and excellent facilities, especially that Japanese restaurant, the Clif Bar and the swimming pool. The city is about 10 minutes drive and is nice to visit once.   We had a studio room which was huge! Such a bargain - location was amazing. Fig tree bay is the most beautiful water I have ever swum in. The area has been overrun with British and doesn't have a Greek vibe which was disappointing, but the beauty makes up for it. Really enjoyed our holiday. The staff at Alva were absolutely lovely too. Our room was spacious with a lovely sea-view (4th floor). Many shops and restaurant around with a great diversity. however we didn't spend too much time in hotel, it was our starting point for visiting east ans south coast of Cyprus. It is definitely worth to visit all lovely beached aroung not only in Protaras (rather crowded).
