The archeological outlook and nature of the hotel.
The hotel is really peculiar with its greek-roman styled furniture/wall paintings. Someone might find it bizzare, but we thought it was nice and gave the hotel a funny and friendly atmosphere. Staff was very polite and breakfast is superb. The pool is quiet and clean. It is at walking distance from the port where all the Pafos restaurants are located.
The welcome and hospitality of the staff particularly the recption staff. My experience in how they dealt with an issue that I had was very positive indeed and I thank them for their help
The air conditioning was not really effective enough
The unique decor and beautiful design around the swimming pool. Anextremely relaxing atmosphere all round.
The room air-conditioning was somewhat noisy, but nevertheless veryeffective.
The informality, and the staff were mostly very friendly and obliging.I very much appreciated that the staff put an umbrella/sunshade onto my balcony, so I could sit out in the afternnon when it was in the full sun.
I think I would have preferrd the bedrooms to be plainer as the pictures were very lurid and 'aggressive' and not condusive to sleeping peacefully. Also better reading lights in the rooms would be good.
the swimming pool
the decor was really interesting
Design of the hotel itself
Most of all - the interior design :) Also, it's a walking distance from the major archeological sites in Pafos - the Tombs of the Kings, the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus and Aion, the Saint Paul's Pillar...
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, courtesy
Mirros in the Roman Hotel, kept walking into them, very confusing
Staff was very friendly and cooperative; the interior was amazing,( one of the reasons I choose for this hotel);my wife especially loved the parrot as well !
First night we had a room at the streetside;that was far too noisy because of the traffic;luckily we could change rooms the second day; this is something the hotelmanagement of course cannot help, but this can have a negative impact on the feeling of comfort in general.
staff in general was fairly helpfull and on complaing that no fridge in room the hotel provided one so we were gratefull for that
it is a 3 star hotel but disappointed that no coffee making facility was available also no mini bar/fridge in room.
The pool and the breakfast
It does not look like a hotel. The ambient look something similar to a low level hotel, those usually used for other purposes rather than tourism.
The ancient style of Greek mythology in the hotel
The bed... no elevator to carry suitcases upstairs and no bellman.
Pool and surrounding area too small for number of guests, the advertised full english breakfast was very poor, although the continental breakfast was ok, decor was tacky and overall felt run down.
Although it was off season, hotel was a depressed place. Luckily we stayed only 2 nights.
Location
The staff would not bother to serve you, no matter what!
Quality of food at breakfast (not amount) and, at the end, price
Bugs in the room and, generally, dirtyness. Staff. Food for Breakfast if you arrive at restaurant 15 minutes before end time
Plenty. Rooms are ridiculous. No bar or restaurant open in Roman Hotel2. No ac in reception area. No lift, no porter service (had to carryluggage to second floor), pool bar, but no bar service after 6pm. Garishwall deco all over the place. Motteled red and yellow paint work onfurniture in the room was hard on the eye. Refundable deposit for tvremote control required. In room ac not adequate
