Venus Beach Hotel is adjacent to the archaeological park of the Tombs of the Kings, the most important ancient site in Paphos, and is situated on a natural sandy beach. The large free-form outdoor pool is ideal for relaxing with drinks served at the pool bar, and there is also an indoor pool. For children there is a separate children's paddling pool as well as amusement games, table tennis and pool tables. For the more active there are 2 floodlit tennis courts and a full gymnasium available for guests. Hotel guests can also enjoy the facilities of the hotel's sauna, solarium and massage treatments for a truly relaxing experience. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Paphos Fort and Harbour. The Paphos International Airport is 12 km away. Free private parking is available on site.

The rooms were big and very clean. It had an entertainer every night and even aerobic in the pool for the guests. The staff were very polite. It was comfortable and friendly. The room allocated was superior to the one I expected. The rooms were ready well before check in time. The breakfast area was very clean and had a good selection. There were ample sunbeds and towels available.

Information about the area

Paphos (or Pafos) is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus. Wherever you tread in Paphos, you come across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad.

Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus. Still under the spell of Aphrodite’s beauty, the area retains her magic. Paphos seduces its visitors with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life. The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town its world Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionyssos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various museums.
